Marc has a background in property and planning law since completing a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree at the Flinders University in 1997. He was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia in 1998.
Marc has conducted litigation, acting as advocate, in a wide range of property development matters in the South Australian ERD Court and has represented clients at, Council Assessment Panel (CAP) and State Commission Assessment Panel (SCAP) meetings in various planning, local government and development related matters.
Marc is a commercially focussed consultant having advised and represented developers and project proponents on planning, development, licensing and property related issues.
Immediately prior to joining Future Urban, Marc was the Manager of Development Assessment of the City of Mitcham and has an intricate knowledge of the inner workings of local government. Marc worked on all planning and development related matters, including major development facilitation, Development Plan Amendments, site contamination issues, heritage, development enforcement and prosecutions, and building rules matters.
Marc has been appointed as an independent member of the Adelaide City Council Assessment Panel.
Bethany has undertaken many and varied development assessments across a broad range of developments from residential through to commercial and high rise office accommodation.
Immediately prior to joining Future Urban in February 2020, Bethany was a planner at the City of Mitcham and understands the pressures brought to bear upon local planning authorities when undertaking their assessment. She assessed developments in wide ranging areas, including applications in the sensitive areas of the State Heritage Area of
Colonel Light Gardens, Historic Conservation Zone and Hills Face Zone within the City of Mitcham.
Bethany has experience writing detailed reports for Council Assessment Panels and has frequently presented at Panel meetings in support of her planning assessment. She has a passion for finding creative solutions to planning problems and has vast experience in the assessment and approval of Rescode dwelling applications.
Michael has extensive experience in all aspects of town planning, with a focus on strategic land use planning, structure planning and master planning. In his previous roles Michael has project managed and led major planning studies for both the private and public sector clients, and has been responsible for major greenfield and urban infill development throughout greater Adelaide.
Michael’s expert skills include land supply and demand analysis, housing and employment land analysis and social infrastructure analysis and has managed multiple rezoning processes.
Michael has been responsible for the preparation of major development applications including major office and apartment buildings, mixed use developments, major industrial buildings and major land estates in a greenfield and brownfield context.
Bryn joined Future Urban in November 2020, bringing a vast range of experience.
Immediately prior to joining Future Urban, Bryn utilised his legal and planning qualifications in the role of Property Transactions Officer to manage the City of Onkaparinga’s diverse property portfolio. He has experience managing the revocation of community land classifications, permanent road closures, easement acquisitions, the disposal of Council land and providing expert property advice.

Bryn is currently appointed as an Independent Member of the City of Marion’s Council Assessment Panel.
Gemma joined Future Urban in November 2020.
She has a strong design background of Urban Design, Interior Architecture and accompanied Graphic Design skills. Through working on large commercial projects as an Interior Designer, as well as residential masterplanned communities as an Urban Designer, Gemma has a well-rounded knowledge of the detail, design, development and overall holistic view of a project.
Gemma complemented her design studies with a Master in Urban and Regional Planning and has facilitated submissions on a range of urban development policy consultations.
Gemma has experience in planning and design assessments, urban design, masterplanning and project management. She has a passion for problem solving, creative solutions and design detail.
Since entering the planning profession in 1969, Tony has held various positions, including Chief Town Planner and Manager Community Services, City of Broken Hill (1984-1992), Principal Statutory Planner, City of Adelaide (1992-2002), Manager Development and Compliance, City of Unley (2002-2007); Planning Consultant (2007-2009) and Coordinator City Development, City of West Torrens (2009-2017).

With experience in Local Government, Milly has a great understanding of Council processes, motivations and politics. Working in the private sector, Milly has developed her understanding of strategic planning in order to deliver a range of projects, and has built relationships with other professionals in the industry.
Milly works both independently and assists her colleagues to manage and deliver projects. These projects include, but are not limited to:
Milly’s role involves the preparation of high-quality planning statements, reports and advice, Development Plan reviews and planning proposals. Milly’s thorough knowledge of the Development Act, 1993 and Development Regulations 2008, and her excellent and confident communication skills, make her a valuable and positive contributor to any team.
Kayla joined Future Urban in March 2020 bringing experience from both the private and public sectors. With a strong background in statutory development assessment, Kayla has been directly involved in the facilitation of a variety of developments across metropolitan and regional South Australia. In addition, Kayla has also assisted a number of local and State government strategic planning projects including the Aldinga Structure Plan, the District Council of Franklin Harbour General Development Plan Amendment and the Alice Springs Industrial Land Needs Assessment.

Kayla is currently developing her skills in community engagement and stakeholder analysis to build on her relevant project experience, including undertaking the IAP2 Australasia Certificate in Engagement. Kayla is expected to complete this Certificate in 2020.
Fabian is a highly skilled facilitator and negotiator, and has a proven ability to find consensus. He prides himself on his ability to provide sound strategic and statutory planning advice to a range of private sector clients.
Fabian has acquired a considerable degree of experience and expertise in dealing with a broad mix of complex and often controversial projects, many of which relate to:
Fabian has an intimate knowledge of the Act and Regulations, and is well versed in procedural matters. His innate ability to critically appraise development concepts and proposals, and to devise logical and effective solutions to ensure successful outcomes is one of his many qualities.
Fabian’s passion, drive and commitment together with his uncompromising work ethic has enabled him to develop a strong rapport with the firm’s clients.
An accomplished planner, Chris has over 18 years of experience in both local government and private practice. Chris has been responsible for successfully managing and negotiating approvals for a number of the most complex development proposals including large scale residential, mixed use, hotel and commercial projects and master planning projects for precincts, retail centres, cultural and community hubs, urban corridors, main streets and infill sites including implementation and governance frameworks for their delivery.
Chris is also a current member/board member of a number of committees of wide-ranging industry groups, including:
